Shopify development

Stores that stop fighting their own catalog.

I am an engineer with 14 years of experience, and I run my own Shopify store as an actual business. Catalog, variants, POS, shipping, margins. Most developers who build stores have never had to live in one, which is why they notice what looks wrong instead of what costs you money.

Services

Four ways I can help

Fixed scope, fixed price, no hourly surprises.

  • Catalog and variant rescue

    from $2,500

For stores where color and size options got out of hand. One product per family instead of one per colorway, real swatches, working filters, and variant images that actually change.

    Typically two weeks

  • Migration to Shopify

    from $3,500

From WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce or Magento. I spent a decade building on WooCommerce before I moved to Shopify, so I know what breaks in both directions.

    Three to five weeks

  • Small business site + CMS

    from $1,800

A fast, modern site you can actually edit yourself, without a page builder fighting you. Includes your first three months of a care plan.

    Care plan included

  • Emergency triage

    $500 flat

One broken thing, fixed within 48 hours. Checkout failures, broken variant logic, a page that stopped loading, a discount that will not apply.

    48-hour turnaround

  • Before: one product per colorway
A disordered pile of product swatches
  • After: one product, real swatches
The same swatches arranged into one ordered fan

What this looks like in practice

  • A wholesale channel without the $300/mo app

This store needed tiered wholesale pricing and resale-certificate collection. Every app that did it charged a monthly fee and none handled the compliance piece. I built the ordering portal directly against Shopify instead. Three price tiers by volume, per-account catalogs, no recurring fee.

    • 3 tiersBy volume
    • $0/moApp cost
    Wholesale portal, client framing
  • Bundles that stay pre-orderable

Shopify's built-in bundles cannot be pre-ordered, and the paid app charged monthly to do it badly. The replacement expands each bundle into real line items at checkout, so the warehouse sees pickable SKUs and inventory stays correct across all three components.
